Innocent Red

I hear cries
Cries of pain,
Cries unanswered,
Like a thorn in the flesh,
Chains are broken ,
Broken with all worldly liaison,
Red is the colour of spilled blood.
Body squirming,
Mercy pleading,
Shots fired,
Last breath taken,
Veins frozen,
Blood oozed,
Heart stops,
Sand to sand,
Ash to ash.
A stereotypical target,
Detained for interrogation
they fit their profile,
Once again another man is out,
Song of timeless demise,
song of anguish,
Though lies may be spoken,
For the truth we stand for.
Strangled,
As they struggle
Robbed are their innocent souls,
For liberty is no more in the streets,
Avarice saps the soul,
Without a bye,
They depart,
As murder wrecks havoc in the world of plenty.
Wounds never heal,
Jailed in distress,
Bodies laid out,
Memories un-washed,
Grief grips the bereaved like a hoop of steel,
As their heart shutter for their innocent loved ones,
Their tears can't bring them back.
Justice has not had it's way,
The culprit walks free,
As the victim body rots in the grave,
Where is justice,
Something ain't right,
How can one get peace without justice,
We keep on fighting,
till we find someone who truly cares.
Justice got through trade ain't justice,
Justice does not ask for caste,
Justice does not discriminate,
Justice is truth in action,
Justice is fairness,
Justice is conscience of all humanity,
For the dead can not talk,
It's the duty for us as the living to fight for their justice,
Justice must be served .
