Wanjiru kaírítu gathaka,

Njirū ta gikombe gía espresso,

Her skin coated in white ochre,

She leads only those who want to follow,

Her feet is like Swift steed that feels the slackened rein,

agíthíe kūrūa.

 Rūhiū gúoko ine,

Agíthíe mbaaràíní,

As she sings songs of war,

And chant the paeans of gikúo,

Like the fictitious Phoenix

She rises from the ashes,

Even against overwhelming odds,

She is a woman of valor ,

Kàirítu kena hínya.

Mūrūthi wa njamba cía ita,

She stands tall as the múgúmó tree,

rūhiū rwake rwà njora makes her enemies

Inyítwô ní guoyà,

Na kúgúa ta mahutí ma mūti,

As bodies lie scattered on the ground,

And thakame flows ta rūi.

Karaguthwo níko kói kwígíta,

As she twists history into her story,

Ndari guoya kūraragira na gikuo,

And she fights like a hell rooster,

Howls are heard as myriad fall,

As her foes bow to her in fear,

She is a force of nature's course.

She is Stoic,

Most heroic,

Hence though enervated,

She winks at challenges,

She fights with her soul,

War cloak stained with blood,

Fury in her ,eyes

Hands burning in fiery heat,

She spits fire like mbuba,

Na ūgí na hinya,

Akahota óthe,

Ma ni njamba nene.
